AN INSTRUMENT FOR SCULPTING SOUND THROUGH SYNCRONIZED LAYERED STRUCTURES, ADVANCED MODULATION AND EVOLVING TEXTURES
🏆 Best FX Processor Winner — Sonicstate Best Award @ Superbooth26
Memento is a creative, performance-oriented audio processor built around a multimodal texture engine, stereo reverse delays, filters and reverbs with dedicated effects, brought to life by dual dynamic step-based modulations.
At its core, an expressive touch surface redefines control, making it direct, gestural and expressive.
Memento was conceived to translate the mechanisms of the human mind into sound processing. Every signal becomes a synaptic flow in constant evolution.

ONE FLOW, THREE SONIC ENGINES
NOT ABOUT APPLYING EFFECTS. ABOUT BUILDING SOUND PATHS.

DRY & OVERLAY
WHERE SOUND BEGINS

The dry signal travels through MEMENTO along a dedicated path, preserved until the final stage, where it can be shaped or enhanced through dedicated filtering and processing, including harmonic excitation.
Alongside it, an additional layer operates as a variable-length loop — a space to record, replace, and reshape sound material in real time.
Undo and redo provide immediate control, allowing you to refine the result without interruption.

BIDIRECTIONAL STEREO DELAY
FROM PRECISE GROOVE TO CONTROLLED CHAOS

A stereo delay with fully independent left and right delay lines, creating a dynamic and articulated stereo field.
Each line can run forward or reverse, with timing set in milliseconds or synchronized to clock, including dotted and triplet divisions.
The relationship between left and right channels can be precisely defined: timings can move together or independently, with adjustable offset to generate complex and musical rhythmic structures.
Feedback is adjustable up to 100% and passes through dedicated high-pass and low-pass filters, allowing the tail to be shaped from clean repetitions to more degraded, textural behaviors.

MINDSCAPE TEXTURES
TEXTURAL. COMPLEX. ORGANIC. ALWAYS EVOLVING.

Mindscape Textures is a configurable processing space dedicated to the creation of continuously evolving soundscapes.
Designed to deliver immediate musical results, it maintains harmonic and temporal coherence even in the most complex configurations — an essential quality in live performance contexts.
Its behavior is shaped by a set of operating modes: Multihead, Fragment, DPD, Deja-Vu.

FRAGMENTS
The signal is reprocessed through fragments of variable size and number, read from configurable positions within the buffer.
Fragments can be distributed across the stereo field, generating textures that range from sparse, pointillistic patterns to dense, articulated structures.
The touch surface allows direct exploration of fragments over time, turning buffer manipulation into a continuous, performative gesture.
MULTIHEAD
Harmonic layering, under control
A configurable array of playback heads generates a polyphonic texture distributed across the stereo field.
Each head operates independently in:
-
playback speed
-
direction (forward / reverse)
-
stereo position
Speeds are quantized in multiples and submultiples of 2, ensuring that all variations remain harmonically and temporally coherent with the original source.
The result is controlled stratification:
defined octaves, stable intervals, and proportionate rhythmic structures that remain musical even under extreme transformations and reverse playback.

DPD - DOUBLE PULSE DELAY
Immediate rhythmic structure
DPD introduces four additional pulses — two per channel — expanding the rhythmic framework without relying on feedback.
Each pulse has independently adjustable timing and playback direction (forward or reverse).
When fed by the Bidirectional Delay, these pulses are inserted between its repetitions, creating complex yet clearly defined stereo rhythmic patterns.
With other sources, DPD operates as an independent structure, maintaining temporal coherence while expanding rhythmic possibilities.

MENTAL FLOW REVERSAL
Memento’s core processing structure can be inverted and reconfigured through selectable flow modes, enabling a shift in perspective and a fundamental transformation of the sonic outcome by reversing the internal routing of sections and effects.
What was cause becomes effect.
Direction is a choice.

MODULATIONS, REIMAGINED
Two independent, interconnected modulation engines expand the sonic possibilities, where repetition and variation coexist.

STEP SEQUENCER
ENVELOPE
CV'S
ADVANCED LFOs
Memento features two independent modulation engines, designed to operate both independently and in relation to each other within the signal flow.
Each engine can be configured as a Step Sequencer or LFO, offering flexible, immediate control over any parameter.
Assignment is instantaneous: press the control of the desired parameter to apply modulation, with no interruption to the creative flow.
ADVANCED LFO
Each LFO combines classic waveforms with freely drawable shapes via the touch surface.
Timing can operate in free mode (milliseconds) or in sync with clock, ensuring precise rhythmic alignment.
Designed for immediate control and performance-ready results.

DUAL SEQUENZED MODULATION
Rhythm as structure
Two independent sequencers generate complex polyrhythmic modulation, delivering musical and continuously evolving results.
Each sequence offers up to 16 fully configurable steps, enabling precise, articulate, and readable rhythmic control.
Every step contributes to patterns that extend beyond variation, forming structured rhythmic layers applied directly to the sound.
Dedicated presets provide instant recall of sequences and configurations, maintaining flow and consistency in live contexts.

EXPRESSIVE MOTION RECORDINGS
Drawing modulation becomes a way to shape sound behavior directly — transitions, accelerations, controlled irregularities.
Not just motion, but continuous evolution.

TOUCH SURFACE
WHERE GESTURE MEETS SOUND

The eco-leather surface is fully responsive to multitouch and pressure. Every gesture — position, movement, intensity — translates directly into continuous, proportional changes in sound.
Fully programmable, it enables real-time control of effects or dynamically adapts its behavior depending on the active context.
It can be divided into independent zones, each assignable to specific functions, while maintaining direct access to all parameters.
Assignment is immediate: simply press the controls of the desired parameters to link them to the touch surface, or recall dedicated presets.

SHAPE & REFRACTIONS
REFINE OR DESTROY THE SOUND... IT’S YOUR CHOICE.

Complete the sound with a reverb engine for spatial depth and a filter stage enhanced by harmonic excitation.
The filter bank provides precise control over the signal, with the ability to integrate a dedicated effect within the filtering stage.
The reverb refraction engine extends the spatial dimension, with an additional effect layer enabling processes such as shimmer, noise, and other spectral variations.

OUTPUTS & QUADRAPHONIC
MEMENTO features 4 highly flexible outputs, supporting both advanced routing configurations and full spatial / quadraphonic use of the instrument.
On the routing side, the 4 outputs can be set up as two independent stereo pairs or dedicated to individual effects and sound blocks. For example, the reverb can be routed to a separate stereo pair (outputs 3 and 4), while dry signal, delay and texture remain on outputs 1 and 2. Every assignment is fully customizable through a dedicated routing matrix, which lets you freely send sources and effects to any of the four outputs.
The same outputs can also be used to create a true quadraphonic sound field. In multihead mode, each playback head can be assigned to a different output, creating an immersive result; alternatively, the spinning system lets you place elements within the quadraphonic space — heads, effects, sources — defining for each one the rotation speed and the distance from the center.
These parameters can also be modulated either by the internal modulators or via external CV inputs, opening the door to complex spatial movements, synced to the groove or dynamically controlled during performance.

CONNECTIVITY

Memento features 2 line inputs and 4 line outputs, available in either balanced or unbalanced configuration, to be specified at the time of order.
The balanced version is recommended when Memento is integrated into a setup where the other devices also operate in balanced mode, in order to get the most out of balanced transmission. These benefits become particularly significant on long cable runs, or in environments prone to electromagnetic interference, such as stages, studios with extensive electrical equipment, or locations near transformers and dimmers.
The balanced version still accepts unbalanced signals without any issue: in this case, the noise rejection benefit is simply lost, but full functionality is preserved.
The connectors used are 6.3 mm TRS jacks (also compatible with TS jacks) for the balanced version, and 6.3 mm TS jacks for the unbalanced version.
Completing the connectivity:
-
4 CV inputs at Eurorack-compatible level
-
2 assignable footswitch inputs with 6.3 mm jacks
-
MIDI IN and MIDI OUT on 3.5 mm jacks
-
USB MIDI, also used for firmware updates
-
Universal power supply included in the box
Memento dimension: 45.5 x 16 x 7 cm
